The master of arts in global affairs is an interdisciplinary program offering you the opportunity to engage in advanced study of global issues. You will develop a wide range of global competencies, examine transnational and international processes in a wide range of areas, as well as specialized knowledge in a particular thematic specialization—everything from global health, to global media, to global economic development, to global history and culture. Through your specialization, you will have the opportunity to take courses with faculty across the entire university, providing you with comprehensive yet specialized degrees. 

Once you graduate from the program you will be prepared for work in a variety of global contexts, including employment by government agencies, non-governmental organizations, businesses with a global presence, and various international organizations.
