Political geography, critical geopolitics, post-Soviet Europe, and the European Union
Catherine Studemeyer is Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of the Global Affairs Program. Her recent publications address critical youth geographies, the politics of belonging, and transnational citizenship in a global age. Her current research interests include national identity, transnationalism, the geographies of memory in divided societies, and critical geopolitics in post-Soviet European contexts. She holds a PhD in geography from the University of South Carolina, an MA in international relations from the University of Miami (FL), and a BS in international business and BS in management from Florida State University.
