MA in Global Affairs

Anna Cornacchio, 2015

Anna came to Mason after earning a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and French from Elon University in North Carolina. After taking a political science course in international security and spending a summer interning at the U.S. National Central Bureau – INTERPOL Washington (a component of the U.S. Department of Justice), Anna decided that she wanted to pursue a graduate degree in which she could further explore security dynamics between states.

Working now for INTERPOL Washington in the role of a Criminal Analyst (Contractor) for the Counterterrorism Division, Anna hopes to continue developing her interests in transnational terrorist networks to include the leverage of licit and illicit trade and transportation routes to generate revenue and acquire materials, as well as the female identity in terrorism.
