On November 17-21, Prof. Breglia attended the annual meetings of the American Anthropological Association in New Orleans. She presented a paper on her research on oil in the Gulf of Mexico entitled "Energy Politics on the Other US/Mexico Border" for the panel Circuits, Currents, and Cascades: Energy in Transition Around the Globe. She also served as a discussant for the panel Ethnographies Of and In Archaeologies: Collaborations, Methods, and Objectives in an Emergent Subfield.
