Emphasizes structure, functions, and ecological processes of created and natural wetlands from an ecosystem perspective. Students will be expected to develop an understanding of hydrologic, physicochemical, and ecological aspects of wetlands and the management of these systems through in-class and field/lab works. Each student is required to carry out an individual research project that involves field and lab works, and write a research paper. May not be repeated for credit.

Recommended Prerequisite: BIOL 307 or EVPP 377, or permission of instructor.

Registration Restrictions:

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.

Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.

Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
