My name is Koty Bowen (he/him/his), and I am a Southwest Virginia native and a first year masters student in the Anthropology program with a concentration in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. My focus in research is in Political and Queer Anthropology and Tourism. I received my bachelors in Anthropology and Political Science from the University of Mary Washington. My latest research was in analyzing the global capitalist system through sex tourism in different post-colonial (peripheral) states.
