What is your favorite part about being a Mason student?

Mason is such a diverse university in both its students and faculty. It’s afforded me endless opportunities in my undergrad and graduate years. I wouldn’t be the person I am now if it wasn’t for Mason and those opportunities.

What is your favorite part about your degree program?

My professors and colleagues have made my experience in the MA program an invaluable one. They’ve offered different and challenging perspectives that have helped me think about myself and the world in a variety of ways. Many of my professors are people who I would consider personal mentors and I know they care about each and every one of their students.

What is the one part of your degree program that has had the most impact on you?

Although 2017-2018 is my first year in the program, the highly specified variety of courses offered has impacted me immensely because they’ve opened my eyes to new learning possibilities. I feel as though I could take my experiences and knowledge and go in various directions, ultimately studying topics that are important to me and the community.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Working on my PhD.
