The opportunity to graduate with honors in Global Affairs is open to exceptional students with an interest in researching global issues. To be eligible, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 with at least 60 credits completed. Once accepted, you will take a two-semester course sequence. In GLOA 491 (Fall semester) you will learn interdisciplinary research methods by focusing on a contemporary global issue. In GLOA 492 (Spring semester), you will produce your own research on a topic of your choice while working closely with your faculty mentor. Honors students have done exciting research on an array of topics ranging from human- and narco-trafficking, microfinance, to transitional justice and human rights. Honors students are closely mentored by the GLOA faculty and encouraged to present their work at public events and conferences.
