What are some causes/ issues you care about? Why?

Human rights and public freedoms.Because when you stop caring about others'rights and freedoms you don't deserve yours. A life without freedom is not worth living.

Being a journalist especially in the Middle East has amplified my awareness of the importance of understanding global affairs and international relations and their impact on people's freedoms and rights. Witnessing the impact of a negotiated ceasefire deal on civilians daily life and how a productive interaction would save tens or hundreds of lives is remarkable.

What aspects of Mason made you choose to study here?

I find the diversity in nationalities and backgrounds at Mason has many advantages such as strengthening cultural understanding and ability to communicate across lines of identity and difference. Diversity could be as important as the location of the university since it's a few miles away from the national capital, where decision-making process is happening.

More knowledge about global affairs.
