Graduating students, proud families, faculty, and special guests gathered at the IGC Grand Auditorium on June 21 to celebrate Mason Korea’s Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony.

Mason Korea recently hosted the inaugural iDesign Seminar: K-Content in collaboration with Incheon City, where academic, government, and industry leaders explored strategies for strengthening Korea’s cultural content sector. On May 19, 2025, Mason Korea Global Affairs students from the Diplomacy class had the opportunity to attend an event at the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Korea (Swiss Hanok) and participate in the Anticipatory Leadership and Science Diplomacy Workshop as part of the Swiss-Korean Innovation Week (SKIW). This invitation was graciously extended by GLOA professor Dr. Intaek Han, who also took his students to the PechaKucha Night last Friday, May 23rd. 

Two Mason Korea sophomores, Eunchong Yim and Sujin Yang, took first place at the 7th Model African Union Assembly, earning recognition for their exceptional leadership and insights while representing Namibia.

In a dynamic collaboration with Mason Scalia Law School’s Center for Intellectual Property x Innovation Policy and the Music Ecosystems Institute, Mason Korea hosted an international conference titled "The Role of Law and Policy in the Rise of K-Pop and Other Asian Music Genres." 

Last month, five Mason Korea alumni presented at the 2021 Incheon Global Campus Career Fair held on a metaverse platform.

This week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced that it would discontinue visa exceptions for international students on F-1 visas who take all of their courses for the semester online. This decision could force hundreds of thousands of international students to leave the United States and threatens to interrupt the academic work of more than 3,000 students here at George Mason University.
