GLOA Students and Alumni Attend the 2023 NATO Youth Summit

First of all, it has been a pleasure and an honor to participate in the NATO Youth Summit: Freedom and Security 2023 as a delegate from George Mason University. I had the opportunity to learn from experts such as Rear Admiral John Kirby, about issues such as countering disinformation linked to the latest technologies. I also had a great experience learning about Diplomatic Approaches to Security. For instance, Ambassador Victoria Nuland gave a detailed explanation of the evolution of the diplomatic relationship between NATO and the United States. Finally, It was an honor to meet in person the Honorable Elizabeth Jones, former Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, U.S Department of State. I have learned a lot from her speech about Everyday Practice of Democracy and the advice she has given to students who want to pursue a career in diplomacy and security. Overall, the NATO Youth Summit: Freedom and Security 2023 has been a great opportunity for me to learn from experts in the field of diplomacy, security, and defense, but most importantly I was able to network.
