The current global economic crisis has not subsided.  We know a good deal about how it has affected the United States and Western Europe.  But how has it affected economic development (or reform processes) elsewhere, if at all?  This comparative panel addresses the state of economic development and change in the Middle East, Africa, and China, in the context of the ongoing global economic crisis.  Join us!

The panel features:
Dr. Bassam Haddad - "Neoliberalism and State-Business Networks in Syria and the Middle East"
Dr. Hazel McFerson - "Hyper-Corruption in Resource-Rich African Countries"
Dr. Ming Wan - "The Chinese Development Model and The Great Recession"

Moderated by Darrene Hackler
