The Boren Fellowship funds opportunities for graduate students to engage in independent overseas language study and research with relevance to national and international security, broadly defined. This highly competitive fellowship is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to learn a less commonly taught language, and offers a pathway to gaining work experience in the federal government after graduation. The deadline is January 31, 2012.
