Global Affairs Spring 2012 Research Assistantships

The Global Affairs program is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for Spring 2012 research assistants (RAs). If you are interested in gaining actual research experience by working closely with a faculty member, please consider applying!
RAs will work with a professor for 100 hours during the spring semester and receive a stipend of $1,000 (10 hours for 10 weeks and $10 per hour).
Minimum qualifications are as follows:
- Global Affairs major;
- Completion of at least 60 credits (at least 15 from Mason);
- GPA of 3.25 or above;
- Must be enrolled in Spring 2012, taking at least six credits.
Applications must be submitted to Erin McSherry (emcsherr@gmu.edu) by Tuesday, January 17, 2012, and should include:
- Formal letter of interest - please include your current academic interests, career plan, skills, and G number. If you have research skills, be sure to highlight them.
- Resume
A committee of Global Affairs faculty will make the selection based on your qualifications and by matching your skills with the research requirements of professors. Preference will be given to graduating seniors.
