Update: Global Affairs Students Accepted into the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program

Congratulations to our two students accepted into the Undergraduate Global Affairs Students Accepted into the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program
Research Scholars Program!

Paola Moore will be researching southern Europe country's security and borders while trying to provide aid in the midst of a humanitarian dilemma. Paola became interested in this topic during the Arab uprisings when Libyans began desperately fleeing to the Italian island of Lampedusa and she observed Italy's need for aid and intervention from the European Union.

Carolina Espinoza will be researching the political and socio-economic aspects that trigger child trafficking in South America; especially in Argentina, Brazil and Peru. Carolina's research will examine political and economic instability, poverty, and corruption as possible reasons for allowing child trafficking to exist within their borders.

We are extremely proud of both of you!

UPDATE: Paola and Carolina had the opportuntity to present their research at the 2nd Annual Florida Undergraduate Research Conference hosted at Stetson University. Approximately 23 colleges and universities, primarily from throughout Florida, were represented by students presenting across disciplines.
