Diboura Tamirat is the Administrative Assistant for the Global Affairs Program at George Mason University. She earned her B.A. in International Studies from Denison University in 2024, with a concentration in Race, Identity, Gender, and Media Studies.

Diboura’s academic research interests center on Black feminist and womanist epistemologies and pedagogies, youth liberation studies, transnational identity, and eco-spirituality within neoliberal systems. She has explored these themes through her Capstone project, political manifesto, poetry, children's garden curriculum, and essays.

During her time at Denison University, Diboura also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department. In this role, she supported students in courses like Black Feminist & Womanist Thought/ Art & Activism and Afro-Asian Cultural Interactions, providing guidance on research, presentations, and papers. She also curated additional learning materials and fostered an inclusive classroom environment by collaborating with campus organizations.

In addition to her teaching experience, Diboura was a Research Intern at the American Foreign Policy Council, where she contributed to reports on the Wagner Group's activities in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Iran and Africa Political Monitor.
