Ilona Moore is Assistant Director of Global Affairs, Undergraduate Director of Global Affairs, and Assistant Term Professor in the Global Affairs Program. She received her M.A. and her Ph.D. in Geography, Environment, and Society from the University of Minnesota. Before joining Mason, Dr. Moore taught at Bucknell University and Soka University. Her research focuses on the geopolitics of development, specifically the roles of food, agriculture, and hunger in international development. She enters these questions through the lens of the contemporary “paradox” of hunger amidst plenty in India, tracing today’s logics to the geopolitics of the Green Revolution of the 1960s.
