Krystalyn J. Morton, M.A. is the Office Manager of the Global Affairs Program at George Mason University. She is also a graduate student in the Department of Communication, where she is working on her PhD in Health Communication. She taught undergraduate courses in Oral Communication, as well as assisted in an undergraduate course in African American Studies.
Morton is graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), where she received her BA in Communication, with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism, and a minor in English, with a concentration in Professional Writing. She also received her MA in Communication, and a graduate certificate in Future Professoriate from VT as well.
Her interest areas pertain to minority health, health disparities, and nutrition literacy. More specifically, her current research focuses on the lived and shared experiences of Black/African American women regarding the various aspects of their lives, such as: nutrition, reproductive health, family structures, and overall well-being.
